UNITED BY SERVICE
Police and fire departments have long-standing Honor Guard traditions, but those opportunities are far less common within Emergency Medical Services (EMS). Many EMS agencies simply don’t have the size, funding, or resources to maintain an Honor Guard of their own.
The New Jersey State EMS Honor Guard was created to fill that gap. As an independent statewide organization, we bring EMS professionals together across employers, agencies, and communities to participate in Honor Guard service and help ensure these services are available throughout New Jersey.

How We Serve
Funeral & Memorial Honors
We provide ceremonial honors that recognize the service of Emergency Medical Services professionals.
Ceremonies & Special Events
We participate in retirements, commemorations, and other occasions that recognize members of the EMS profession.
Community Outreach
We represent New Jersey EMS at parades, conferences, community events, ceremonies, and other special occasions.
Honor Guard Training
We educate EMS professionals and agencies with the protocols, skills, and knowledge to prepare for Honor Guard service.
Request Honor Guard Services
The New Jersey State EMS Honor Guard is available to assist families and Emergency Medical Services agencies with funeral and memorial honors, ceremonial support, and other Honor Guard services.
Honor Guard services are provided at no charge.
YOUR SUPPORT MATTERS
Help Make Our Service Possible
There is no charge to request the New Jersey State EMS Honor Guard, but there are real costs involved in maintaining and deploying an Honor Guard.
Donations help cover uniforms, flags, ceremonial equipment, training, travel, and other operational needs. Your support allows us to provide Honor Guard services without passing those costs on to the families and agencies that request them.
New Jersey State EMS Honor Guard, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
